Go Green will be easier to do
than we think. There are little things we can do every day to help reduce
green house gases and create a more dangerous impact on the
environment. Caring for the Earth was not only a responsibility, but it's
a privilege. With that spirit, we start with 10 things you can do to help save
the earth.
First, note how the use of water. Small things can make a big difference.
Every time we turned off the water when you're brushing your teeth, it means
that we have done something good. Prevent our toilet is leaking, if that
happens maybe we have removed 200 gallons of water wasted. Try drinking tap
water instead of bottled water, so do not waste all the water bottles that we
drink.
Second, leave the car at home. If we can run only two days a week, we can
reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 1590 pounds per year. Combine
our task, for example, we went to the post office, grocery store and shoe
repair place in one trip. This will save gasoline and time.
Third, walk or ride bicycles to work, school and anywhere we can. we can
reduce greenhouse gases while burning some calories and improving health. Every
car that does not operate to make a difference for the temperature of the earth.
Fourth, Recycle, we can help reduce pollution just by putting trash in a
box that is true. Organic waste in the box and similarly with the plastic
waste. If trying to choose between two products, choose with minimal packaging.
If the office building of 7,000 office workers waste paper recycling for a
year, that's equivalent to taking almost 400 cars off the road.
Fifth, Composting. Think about how much garbage we have made in a year.
Reducing the number of garbage we produce in a year means taking a space that
has been taken by the garbage we generate, plus, composting can make a useful
natural fertilizer to enrich the soil. Making compost was easier than we think.
Sixth, replace the light bulb. Compact Fluorescent Fight bulbs (CFL) hold
10 times longer than standard bulbs and use at least two-thirds less energy. If
shopping for new appliances or electronics even at home, look for ENERGY STAR
products, and the Department of Energy U.S. EPA guidelines for energy
efficiency. In 2006, the ENERGY STAR program saved energy equivalent to taking
25 million cars off the road and save U.S. $ 14 billion cost.
Seventh, make the home more energy efficient. Clean the air filter so that
the system does not have to work overtime. Make sure the thermostat has been
programmed so as not to waste energy when we are not at home. If we're going to
sleep, set the air temperature, so that energy is not wasted when we sleep
tebuang.
Eighth, take care of the car. decrease underinflated tires cause fuel
costs increased by three percent and lead to increased pollution and greenhouse
gas emissions higher. if underinflation good tires, will save money in the long
term. so better check our tire pressure.
Ninth, smart driving. Is the true driving 60 mph instead of 70 mph on the
highway, thus saving up to four miles of fuel. Accelerating and braking too
hard can actually reduce the cost of fuel. If we are not much use of fuel, the
pollution would be reduced.
Finally, turn off the lights when you're not in the room and unplug
electrical appliances when not in use. Correct! ... We only take one second for
the environmentally conscious.
